I’m not defending him, but 16 years in prison for a killing someone when you’re 16 years old is actually a pretty reasonable punishment when looking at what MOST courts would do.
Agree. I am always amazed when people kill someone and then are given LESS than a Life Sentence.
I do know two men (NOT related to me!) who killed others in flat-out accidents; no drugs or booze involved, and they both got about 10 years apiece.
But, we’re talking about a privileged youth from a VERY wealthy family who probably saw nothing wrong with killing someone to cover up his rape of her, or her UNWILLINGNESS to give him what he wanted.
Different story/circumstance IMHO.
Yeah, but the golf club they found in the garage proves he was a shanker.
