The level of intelligent discourse on FR has sadly degenerated over the past five years to the point that it is a largely just an echo chamber for the obsessed conspiracy buffs, well meaning wishful thinkers and few truly intelligent activists. If she is “hearing cases from home,” that means she is in bed and her law clerks wake her up and tell how to vote and then back to bed.

Roberts might not “inquire,” but there are other Justices who would not let him get away with it.
USSC clerks writing opinions for their bosses is almost standard practice. Scalia was notable for frequently writing his opinions solo.
RBG’s death couldn’t be covered up for more than a day or so, but as with Congressmen, debilitating dementia can go unacknowledged for a long time.
