Same thing happened to me in 1969.
428 DOHC ‘Stang. 90mph in 2nd gear.
Hole-shot was epic.

Great in parts of the west, where you had long straightaways. But think of it in the tight turns and ups and downs of CT. That looong, looong hood rising up in front of you and blocking every view of what’s coming. As well as the problem of fitting friends in the luggage compartment.
