I have walked the walk on this, and pulled my accounts of some forty years out of Bank of America for their political advocacy of leftist causes (signaling they would not take part in financial transactions with manufacturers of civilian “assault weapons)
In this case, if I am reading their stance correctly, I fully support it (even though it appears on the surface that Mastercard is the issue, not Patreon, who appears to be hamstrung by their terms of agreement. That isn’t a given, though, they might just be using that as cover?)
What is needed (as I have heard Dan Bongino state) is a conservative alternative to something like Patreon. And they don’t have to support only conservative causes or customers, they could take even far left customers, but would state that their terms of agreement will not allow them to be pressured in the manner Patreon was.
Basically, a politically-neutral site.
Patreon does cover a lot of conservative causes. They seem to be the go-to for the demonetized youtube gun channels (forgotten weapons, military arms channel, etc ).

Basically, anyone not on board with totalitarian leftism has to build an entirely parallel infrastructure complete with registrar, hosting, and payment processing.
Which is odd because it wasn’t totalitarian leftism which got those things created in the first place.
Look up what Gab went through and continues to go through, it’s Orwellian. When did it come to pass that all sorts of politically neutral organizations suddenly now march in lockstep with Communists?
