That's not "a dubious stat" - 2011 is when Elway became GM for the Broncos. Any other year would be selective cherry-picking - in your words, "dubious".

Well, no - Manning didn't fall into anything. Elway signed Manning, in the face of recruitment by several other teams. Signing a Hall-of-Fame QB with miles left on the odometer over the competition is one of the most impactful and significant things a GM can do, and that's entirely to Elway's credit.
There's no "you" or "your" about this for me - I'm not a Broncos fan. But Denver would be remarkably stupid to let him go - guys with that kind of winning record aren't available to front-offices every day.
