Fans have been speculating that Doctor's Who greatest nemesis will make a return to the show during its New Year special.
And the BBC has finally confirmed during a teaser for the episode that the Daleks will be back with a vengeance, after show runner Chris Chibnall promised he wouldn't be using any 'old monsters'.
In the new trailer which premiered on Christmas Day, Jodie Whittaker introduces the extraterrestrial race of mutants by saying 'this is the DNA of the most dangerous creature in the universe'.

Doctor Who without the Daleks is like Batman without the Joker. But then, so is Doctor Who without Tom Baker. I used to love the show, but now I can not watch that PC dreck.
I wonder if the Daleks will be transgendered?
The Daleks will finally Exterminate Dr Who ?
I stopped watching when they trannyfied the Master. (Yes, I hung in there that long; I remembered the show from when I was a kid watching it on BBC.)
The guy who writes the show now, Steven Moffat, is the same guy who wrote the 1999 parody episode “The Curse of Fatal Death”, where (and how do you like this foreshadowing) Rowan Atkinson “regenerates” into Joanna Lumley.
Works for me. They ought to exterminate the BBC network too.
My thought was more: now it’s the new year’s special and not the Christmas special?
They were Dalek bumps....
“Rowan Atkinson regenerates into Joanna Lumley.”
Oh, that is funny! I must find that episode.
Never could take that show, but for one Dr - David Tennant. The rest? Meh.
Ditto....except for me, the only version that was mildly entertaining was Matt Smith/Amy Pond.
Well they’ve already turned gay.
(Seriously. Check Youtube, unless the PC police have removed the clips from TV Offal....)
When you have a diverse TARDIS Team, celebrating Christmas would not be appropriate
(I wonder if the Supreme Dalek will be a female of some sort? ;-)
I will!
Amy Pond certainly was cute in the the first episode that she appeared in -
They should have ended it when Hartnell left...
“this is the DNA of the most dangerous creature in the universe”
Who are defeated every time by one dude.
I admit I stopped watching a few years ago when I’d had enough of The Impossibly Annoying Girl, and lost all interest. I sprained my eyes (rolling them) when I heard the new Doc would be a chick.
But, really, how is it? No disrespect if you’re watching, I’m seriously asking how people are interpreting the new guy.
