I have a co-worker who is like a little sister to me and a decade ago when her marriage was crumbling, she was separated and in the process of a divorce an old boy from high school out of the blue connected with her on facebook.

He was in the military and was into witchcraft. She told me she went out with him once and he told her some of the craziest things about her that he couldn’t have known from facebook and she hadn’t communicated with him in decades. He was angry, said she was his and wanted her to have no male friends in her life.

She sought my advice and I told her you are a Christian you need to tread carefully here with this guy, you know he is into something dangerous as he has told you he was into some dark stuff etc... Lets just say strange things started happening to her, I even had an event happen and this weirdo told her of things happening and things he was “doing” to her and her friends, which he couldn’t have known about.

She listened to me and didn’t let it go very far and told him which enraged him. She told him I belong to Christ I cannot go into the darkness, that she cared for him as a friend and would pray for him. He was not happy but vanished as quickly as he had appeared in her life.

Within a year or two she met a guy at church, they fell madly in love and have been happily married since. She dodged a bullet with wicca man. These people are playing with powers they don’t understand and are in great danger.

Oh, I have no doubts of the reality of the supernatural spiritual world. There is power there. I even think many of the leftist activist we see snarling in “protests” are animated by demons. I cannot account for their deranged, otherworldly expressions and utterances any other way.

That’s an interesting story. I had a childhood friend reach out to me this summer. We were both raised Christian but in the last few years he became “enlightened”, left Christianity, and is now an atheist/yoga practitioner and is training to become a “spiritual healer” through hallucinogenic drugs.

Over the course of a month we had several phone conversations as well as a couple of dinners together where we discussed my Christianity and his atheism. When it became apparent to him that he could not persuade me to leave Christ, I have not heard from him again. Unfortunately, I know he has done the same thing with a couple of our peers and they, being weak, have fallen away from Christ.

The thing I always find ironic about those who oppose religion is that they still end up in groups formed around some other philosophy or ideology. They reject the One True God and replace Him with another god, whether it be atheism, working out, yoga, veganism, etc..

As far as witches go, Portland Oregon is a hotbed for the witch movement. The universal vein I have seen streaking through all the witches I’ve met is self-loathing/severe depression—often times induced by heavy drinking, drug use, and promiscuity. Like many liberals, they are not happy people and want others to be as miserable as they are.
