What difference was there between living in Hitler’s Germany and Stalin’s Soviet Union? I suppose if you were a religious Jew in Russia you were just repressed instead of exterminated. Then again up to what, 1939, you could leave Nazi Germany. Effectively they were two sides of the same socialist coin.

I still maintain that Stalin was more than happy to allow Hitler to take care of Stalin’s “Jewish Problem”. He basically let Hitler waltz into the areas of the Soviet Union where most of the Jews lived.
