It's about time they started improving the styling of the new Lincolns. They've been a disgrace for the past several decades, widely used as livery cars.
Far cry from the gorgeous versions of the 1970s and before.

My parents had a ‘dark blue ‘74 Mark IV with leather interior and a 460 big block....That was one cruisin’ sled.

A friend of mine had a 77 model with the 460, when he bought it he had me install an 8 speaker and multiple amp Pioneer system in it......stereo sounded excellent in that big interior.

Here is what Lincoln has been reduced to in recent decades, widely being used as a livery car in cities like New York...
Basically looks like a black taxi cab.

OH MY, A THREAD AFTER MY OWN HEART!
Actually, a few years back the “concept car” Continental was pretty slick, borrowing MUCH from the old days. But they’ve caved to modernism and made it more wedge/blob again. Not terrible, compared to most modern Lincolns, but not as neat as the concept.
I LOVE my Town Car ‘79 (we had a ‘75 also, but that was let to rot away in an old garage for years). ‘79 rotting away outside, but still doesn’t look as bad as the ‘75.
Late ‘70s Lincolns were the best, especially the TCs. Loved the upstanding RR grille. Fully proud hunky masculine car.

Younger kid refers to the back doors of the Nissan X-terra as “Hobbit doors” because of the awkward intrusion of the rear wheel well into the area where a passenger’s feet and legs would be the most comfortable ingress point.
Perhaps Nissan should consider doing suicide doors on any future models that are designed similarly.
And the old Lincolns have beautiful lines.

No wonder millenials aren’t making babies. Look at the back seat of the new model, then look at the back seat of the original. See the problem?

Why would anyone want a car that has doors that open against the flow of air as the car moves? Didn’t people figure that out 80 years ago when people called them what they are “suicide doors?”
