We laugh every time their commercial comes on tv. WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too expensive.
Overpriced; underwhelmed.
Speaking of lefty causes, did anyone watch the Lifetime family Christmas movie, “Christmas Around the Corner”, last night? Barf. The main characters take food to the church to donate. Low and behold, the priest (Episcopal, I’m guessing) is standing in front of boxes and boxes and more boxes from Chewy.com and says Chewy donated it all for the homeless people’s pets. Then the priest yawns. Guess what the white priest is sleepy because he and his black “husband” just adopted a baby and of course there’s a snark about small town attitudes. Putting Lifetime and Chewy on my ban list.
And then come all the gay real commercials. Walmart has a gay couple toy shopping and then opening presents around the tree with their kids. Pandora jewelry has a lesbian couple out at a restaurant and one gives the other earrings. And the list goes on with companies pandering to gays at Christmas.
I wouldn't patronize them just for that visual insult.
FReegards!
I’ve received a gift container twice from a family member and they are unremarkable. The chicken was like cardboard and the steaks were so-so. Potatoes are okay - again not very special. I’d do as others suggested and go to a local butcher.
Ordered last year for our staff of 7. Good, but not great. Was expecting more for the price. Will not reorder, even though I have received endless junk mail catalogs from them.
We tried them a few times over the years... Were disappointed every time... Finally made them a no-go zone for the wife..
My uncle used to send me Oamaha packages for Christmas. The first time he sent me a ‘brace’ of smoked pheasant. The birds were the most delicate flavored birds I ever ate. He began a ritual of sending them every year when I told him how good they were. He was that kind of kind uncle.
I would never have bought them for myself, and the goods are a little high in price for me—but if you ever buy there, try the smoked pheasant.
I feed my “gift” to my labs.
Noted...
Nasty stuff.
Thanks...I’m finding out....that’s why I posted...
I advise going to a reputable local butcher instead.
Too true - paying more is a status symbol and getting a “steal” of a deal is even better - even if the consumer is the one being robbed....
