YES! OH, YES! That’s EXACTLY the way to approach it. Think of every comment on every thread as being prefaced by the words “In my opinion,” And all of us respect the right of every person to have every opinion, even when we hold opinions completely counter to theirs. Some people are more fervent in their desire to convince others of the rightness of their opinions, but we all know that it’s still just their opinion. And we make our own decisions as to our own.

I can recall from posting in the ‘90’s that very often, back then, comments started with “IMHO...”!!

That is exactly the way I feel about opinions! I like to read, read, read and eventually come up with my own take on any subject that gets posted here.

Besides I like to see bags and others school the trolls-—not that the trolls will shut up or go away. IMHO the trolls purpose is shout they are winning when they are losing....

I have to disagree with that supposition. There is a term that needs to be brought into this conversation. It is the word TRUTH.

People like BJ Clinton use the slippery slop called post-modernism. Remember his statement, “It depends on what the meaning of the word is,is.” Or Sen. Corker (I think it was him) who asked the bimbo trying to railroad Justice Kavanaugh, “So tells us what is ‘your truth’?” These examples of post-modern hogwash deny that there is any real truth.

If our only claim as FReeQ’s, or the President and Q’s. is to say, IMHO; we might as roll up this thread and leave.

Even our Constitution makes truth claims, it states, “We hold these truths to be self evident...” Now I don’t think a denial of truth is what you meant with your comments, but that’s what was said.

I could get into the nuts and bolts of, How do we know truth? But that is not a short subject, however it is an important one.

In philosophy the subject is called Epistemology. For Christianity and Theism the subject of how we know and truth goes on to discuss world views. Truth is knowable.I could write a dissertation for proof of this Truth. But that isn’t why I commented.

I just think a clarification was important and to understand that FreeQs are pursuing the truth in their research.
