I rank that statement as one of the best I've ever seen on Free Republic. JohnRob ought to encode that proviso into the site software, so that it's displayed at the top of every thread.

I've been around long enough to remember when Freepers did that by default.

IT’s really helpful especially to use italics or some kind of marker, especially if you’re reposting a lot of text, because I find myself starting to read a post, get a paragraph in and go dang, I’ve already read that. So you skip to the bottom to see the original content that’s been created but then there might be two or three snippets and it’s hard to find.

So, I guess I’m saying limit the amount you repost as well — just enough so people know what it’s about.
