No matter what the emotions are that are flowing between you and others here, I’m terribly sorry for the situation your mother is in and glad that she’s in a supportive environment. My best friend just lost her mother, though her mother’s mind has been lost these past years, and I know how hard this time is. My deepest sympathies.
She didn’t need me for stuff like that. Unlike all of you she is enormously well read in history, politics, and world events. She has her own understandings without need of me, although now she has increasing difficulties discussing things.
None of you on this thread remotely compare to the qualities of her mind or heart, and I don’t say that just because she is my mama.

So apparently you missed the time about a month ago that trump was walking away from the press to get on the helicopter and you could hear someone shouting at him “do you believe in Q”? And his answer was “I don’t believe in conspiracy stuff”.
I heard the exchange quite clearly. Not that that will have any influence in the believers. They will just say that PROVES his existence, the fact that trump denied it!

You see my friend who died in Vietnam was about one year older than I. His lottery number was low and so was drafted. The following year my number was also low, but that was the year President Nixon stopped the draft. So I didn’t go.
My hunting buddy; I met after he had come back. There were times through the years we worked together. We shared a common faith. We became very close friends. He often needed someone to confide in. I am proud that he came to trust me and share the pain he carried.
He died just before bow hunting season this year. I miss his comradery and the person he was.

Not what I was taught. Every threat must be met with overwhelming force and the counter attack continued with overwhelming force until you have destroyed not only your opponents ability to continue the fight but also his will to continue or resume it.
If someone comes at you with a knife and you have a gun, you don't pull a knife and wait for them to escalate. You pull your gun and shoot them. No brandishing, no threats, no warning shots. You neutralize the threat as quickly and completely as possible.
