When I think of Pink Floyd I don’t think of waters but of David Gilmour. The lyrics were (mostly) waters, but the sound that makes PF PF is Gilmour.
Agree about Gilmour the musician. Another anecdote - my mother-in-law got us tickets to a concert where the Florida Symphony Orchestra combined with a Pink Floyd tribute band to do an orchestral riff on Pink Floyd songs. What I found interesting was how much better the songs which were written by Gilmour translated to that format as opposed to the Waters tunes.
Plus, Roger Waters is an ass. :-)
Gilmour is the same as Waters politically.
They are all progressive socialists, however Waters obviously wears it on his sleeve all the time. Gilmour has more class, but they are all leftists, even the drummer.
