Yes, I like Steam Punk quite a bit! My soon-to-be son-in-law also likes it, while my two daughters and husband just smile about it. They did combine their attitudes of puzzlement for my benefit last year when they gave me a pair of Steam Punk-style boots for Christmas.

She was short and stout, as they used to say. A plump figure was most desirable to men of the day.

I didn’t build that! The tabloids used to say the same thing about Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida.

How would you prove this item was actually worn by the Queen?
Was she the only woman in England who wore that size clothing? No.
Are there pictures? No.
That price may be cheap for the Queen's corset, but too much for a nameless street urchin's.

a lot of fashion models these days seem to want to look like anorexic boys. When you realize who runs the fashion industry (it's not the models), this sadly makes sense.

These bodices are of interest because they were the early years she was in mourning. Most items of her clothing that have survived are from the later years and were much larger.
Victoria is a long standing interest of mine, I recently read this book
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1781256837/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and think that after Albert died, she ate to comfort herself over his loss. many people today may relate.
