Actually there's another solution. Just make all the bathrooms the same and allow just one at a time. Many restaurants and stores are going that way. For instance, I was at the Trader Joe's and they have three restrooms available. When you go into one and lock the door, the sign outside goes from "vacant" to "occupied". Then when you leave, the sign switches back to "vacant" as soon as you open the door.

That's the way to do it. That way, nobody gets to "feel special" just because they are a boy wearing a dress. And yes, I realize this makes everybody wait longer. But so it is, we brought this upon ourselves by engaging in this silliness in the first place.

What I don’t get is how businews that are required to have a set number of toilets can get away with having just a couple of one holers. We’ve got establisomers locally that have gone from having two restrooms, one with 2 stalls and one with one stall and a urinal, to two restrooms with with one toilet each. The lines, already bad, are now too big a pain to deal with so we no longer stop there.
