I have been working on a dig for several days on Jamal Khashoggi’s Fiance. This is a 6 part series. All parts will be posted as replies to ransomnote’s skip rope jumping dinosaur (post 5) in case I forget to ping.... which is entirely possible LOL!

Here is PART ONE:

KHASHOGGI’s FIANCE

Introduction - How we as a world meet Hatice Cengiz

Because I was involved in some projects and had my mind on some other things as the Khashoggi incident was unfolding - and because the situation and pictures being painted were as confusing as heck - I had opted at that time to only track it on the surface, if at all.

The efforts of several of our Investigative FReeQs who have brought a lot of information about Khashoggi to our threads, (generally, greeneyes, little jeremiah, Disestablishmentarian, and Sword Maker - to name only a few) have helped me to understand it as I have sought to catch up with it. I managed to grab several of the posts during a spirited discussion. If I have missed some of the key players among the involved FReeQs, please accept my apologies.

I was particularly drawn to the work of one of the sources which some have cited: Sibel Edmonds. What caught my eye was her mention of Khashoggi’s fiancé because of my assignment to “Follow the Wives…and Significant Others.”

On October 20, CNN had a story of her having been told what to do if he did not come out of the Consulate.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/20/middleeast/khashoggi-fiancee-intl/index.html

“…Cengiz, who was waiting outside the consulate when Khashoggi entered the building, had not previously accepted that he had died. Khashoggi had gone to the consulate on October 2 to conduct paperwork that would allow for the two of them to be married.”

“In the event that he did not emerge, Khashoggi had told Cengiz to call his friend Turan Kislakci, the head of the Turkish Arab Media Association….”

In this CNN article, the point is made that Khashoggi was an insider to the Saudi government, but was, nevertheless a critic of the Crown Prince MbS after he did “self exile” from the Saudi kingdom in June 2017.

We also see her in this CNN article being a staunch little bride, and “she refused to believe the news until an official statement was made.” The official statement “came in the early hours of Saturday, when Saudi Arabia admitted that Khashoggi died in the consulate, claiming he was the victim of a “fistfight” after a discussion turned violent.”

On October 14, we see in a Guardian article that she is seeking to dicker with the POTUS as to whether or not she would deign to visit the White House to receive his condolences.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/oct/14/jamal-khashoggis-fiancee-hatice-cengiz-i-will-accept-white-house-invite-if-donald-trump-acts

“Jamal Khashoggi’s fiancee has said she will only consider accepting Donald Trump’s invitation to the White House if the US president is prepared to make a “genuine contribution” to investigating the Saudi critic’s disappearance….”

SNIP

A little later, her tone becomes more strident:

“Writing in the New York Times, on Saturday, Khashoggi’s birthday, Cengiz said: “If the allegations are true, and Jamal has been murdered by the errand boys of Mohammed bin Salman, he is already a martyr. His loss is not just mine but that of every person with a conscience and moral compass.

“If we have already lost Jamal, then condemnation is not enough. The people who took him from us, irrespective of their political positions, must be held accountable and punished to the full extent of the law.”

“In recent days, I saw reports about President Trump wanting to invite me to the White House. If he makes a genuine contribution to the efforts to reveal what happened inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul that day, I WILL CONSIDER ACCEPTING HIS INVITATION….”

[Caps are texokie’s for emphasis.]

What seems significant in this article is her loud assertion that it was the Crown Prince’s “errand boys” what done her beloved in. She is a major voice in placing blame on the Crown Prince for the death of Khashoggi. Her assertion and certitude seem to be highly instrumental in solidifying and giving credence to the media narrative that it indeed WAS the Crown Prince who dunnit.
