Bob Seger just started his last North American concert tour. He's still in good form & if you have not seen him live, or would like to....this is your last chance.
I know several members of his band & to a person, they speak very highly of the man. He is criminally underrated in my opinion. In his prime 1976-1982, he was the biggest rock & roll act in the world selling out more concerts than the Rolling Stones & getting more radio airplay than anyone, including Bruce Springsteen.
Seger's three albums since his comeback in 2006, after years of retirement when he was raising his children, are better than anything his peers have put out. Hat's off the Seger...truly the end of an era.
I guess that He Turned the Page.
Turn the Page, Bob.
Bob must have grown tired of all those old cliches questioning if he were a woman or a man.
Just another sign that we’re getting pretty freaking old around here.
Saw him at Cobo Hall Detroit for the Live Bullet album. Fantastic. His music is timeless. Just makes me feel good. I know every song by heart. I wish him well in his retirement. Thanks Bob.
I saw him at the Birmingham (Mich) Palladium about 1965. Haven’t seen him since.
Yup....Seger’s hair is snow white....he looks like Kenny Rogers. He can’t hit the high notes any longer, but he’s 73, so there’s no shame in that. He still sounds strong.
You are a lucky man. That’s the greatest live LP in Rock history.
As a 19 y/o kid who just moved to Hollywood, the great song “Hollywood Nights” struck quite the chord in me...and hit a bit too close too home.
Too many Hollywood Nights?
Kenny Rogers retired too.
Have seen him live twice, fantastic! Great road trip music, as well.

Loved his music for many years - spoiled it for me when it turned out he was an outspoken commie lib.
Bob and son Pete both commie fascists.
There are some people around like that, very talented, and underappreciated. I played for one during that same period that music critics still call the best living male vocalist in America. Song of the Year at the CMAs, record longest run on Broadway with Le Miz (6 months, as Jean Valjean), 5 No 1 country hits. How many singers cover a range of styles that wide?
But today, most don’t know who he is, though he still performs some.
