Morally yes it seems like extravagant wealth boasting, but morally it is their money and they can affor it.
That expense did “trickle” throung and into the economy, in the cost of the plane, it’s fuel, the services that went with the flight and made it possible. Altogther quite a many jobs were supported for that day as well. Better that than if they had stuffed the money in a mattress.
Let’s see...would I rather those two hang on to the money it cost or hand it to the folks that purchased, maintain and operate that plane???
