Les Miles to Kansas has become a reality. The Jayhawks announced Sunday that is has hired Miles as the replacement for head football coach David Beaty, who will be let go at the end of the season. “Since the beginning of our search, we focused on identifying and recruiting an experienced head coach with a strong track record of success on and off the field,” KU athletic director Jeff Long said. “Les Miles is exactly what we need for our program right now. His national reputation as a great recruiter and as a coach who student-athletes love playing for will enable us to break the cycle and return a winning tradition to the Kansas Jayhawks. We are thrilled to have Les and his family as Jayhawks.

I always thought it funny when people would say, “LSU wins in spite of Les Miles...”
I read this first as Lee Myles.
Only Kansas would hire Les Wins.
Even Les Smiles will not be able to turn the program around. The fat man was their best chance and they got rid of him. It’s a pretty sweet deal for Les when you think about it. They can only go up from here.

Miles had horrible game clock management at the end of games at LSU.
Kansas football...where coaches go to die. Seriously the Riverboat Gambler has such low a bar for him there in the BIG-12. There is one decent team OU, one team which is usually good due to being filled with the refuse of other teams and rock-bottom academic standards(West Virginia), a team which despite one good year with Vince Young hasn’t won much since the days of the single bar facemask(Texas) and a gaggle of other teams which puts 72 points in games versus each other and never sniff a National Championship. He should do well in that league, finish his coaching career like Spurrier at USCe.
So why wouldn’t anybody else hire him? Bizarre. Kansas is the graveyard of football coaches.

The fat man was a damn good coach at Kansas. However the PC pansies at KU ran him off. Les should have never went after this job.
