A HIGH SCHOOL IN England has banned students from wearing expensive winter coats in an attempt to stop the shaming of those less fortunate or struggling financially. Woodchurch High School in Birkenhead, located in northwestern England, sent a letter to parents earlier this month announcing that the restriction would be enforced after Christmas. Rebekah Phillips, the head teacher at the school for students 11 to 16 years old, told CNN that she was "mindful that some young people put pressure on their parents to purchase expensive items of clothing," but that these jackets "cause a lot of inequality" between the students. "These coats cause a lot of inequality between our pupils," Phillips said. "They stigmatize students and parents who are less well off and struggle financially."

Why not go the whole route and just demand school uniforms?
Paid for by the state, of course.
Oh, and state will provide free cleaning.
And food.
And transportation.
Sigh, that’s where we’re going.
Wouldn’t want anyone getting ambitious. Might interfere with the UN plan.

The solution is to sell expensive coats that look poor. Throw them in the dryer with a few rocks for 15 minutes.

It’s in England. Can’t happen here. Even school uniforms can be different. I was poverty shamed but I got over it. Public school was no help.
England is so far gone.. so fast it’s unreal. The people are brainwashed but it’s coming here too.. total insanity
The follow-on move: replace masks with burkas.
These liberals want to CONTROL every aspect of our lives right down to the type of toilet we can buy, the type of lightbulb we can buy, what type of drinking straw we’re allowed to use, and now what kind of coat your child can wear.
I suggest that the entire faculty be required to dress in drab denim overalls, to show their solidarity with the Proles working class, and to avoid "micro-aggressing" or otherwise "shaming" anyone.
Anyone who refuses to do so should be subjected to a show-trial and/or be publicly humiliated and forced to recant their ideological errancy required to attend sensitivity training.
Repeated violations must be reported to the Ministry of Love.

They have only banned a few specific brands. There are many other brands, and unbranded coats, that are even more expensive.
Schools used to at least pretend they wanted everyone to do their best.
Marxism is why we can’t have nice things.

I guess my siblings and I were too but we didn’t know it. We wore clothes our mother made and hand me downs - well, all except for our brother. Don’t think she made his clothes. Come cold weather, my sisters and I had to start wearing long brown, heavy horrible stockings until spring. Now THAT we objected to for all the good it did us. Couldn’t wait to get rid of those when the weather warmed up.
