San Anselmo is just a hoot and a holler away from me in Marin County. I’ve never heard of them. Of course when they started in the 70’s I lived in mostly Ohio.

Never got to see The Residents live, but I had a few of their albums. Very strange and different, but some of it quite good. I used to bug people I didn’t like by playing them on cassette in the car.
My daughter once challenged me to a weird music showdown. She conceded defeat when I pulled up some Trout Mask Beefheart. Didn’t even make it to The Residents.
