"It's getting to the point, where I'm no fun anymore." -- Suite: Judy Blue Eyes
Morning Joe might consider adopting the Crosby, Stills & Nash hit as its theme song. Because a show that in the not-that-distant past was at times entertaining and even insightful has been reduced to nothing but an utterly predictable, and hence boring, Trump-trolling mess.
On Morning Joe, every day is Groundhog Day. But instead of Cher belting out "I Got You Babe," it's the panel singing the sameoldsong, which might be entitled "We Hate Trump."
Take this morningwhich could have been any morningin which the opening segment wasyet againa churlish medley of Trump trolling. Here are excerpts:

Morning Joe has been reduced to the Groundhog Day of political shows. Every day is pretty much the same thing: a sorry mess of Trump trolling.

“...daily dose of loathing...”
Hatred just ain’t very entertaining.
You know what should be the biggest story this week, apart from the UK mess? Boeing’s disastrous corporate failure that led to the Lion Air crash that killed 189 people. But our Trump-obsessed press is totally ignoring this, not to mention everything else that is going on in the world. They’ve totally lost any sense that they are in the news business.
PW.
The funny thing is that this is killing their ratings.
Those old time excuses for humans - the REAL racists - were capable of expressing hatred and a 'superior' contempt for blacks every day that was 'in the pattern' of what they do to President Trump. Bashing black citizens was the main subject of Jim Crow racist's conversations. And it was done in this exact style.
If you want to understand the racist Jim Crow South - and the attitudes of the people at that time - just mentally take Morning Joe's non-stop contempt and hatred expressed toward President Trump - and imagine it aimed at black citizens - for decades...
Morning Joe even does the old 'sing song' method of expressing that old time hatred... where words are repeated and examples of how 'all the people of polite society agree'... then a list is given. (the letters A to Z becomes 'and A and B and C and D and E and F and G...etc etc)
Joe Scarborough talks the racist pattern of speech in such a realistic pattern that it's hard for me to hear it... worse - Mike Barnicle and Mika have picked up on some of it ...
