No. As you may remember you posted only one pool when in fact I corrected you stating there were 24 pools!
Do you not know that a lot of passengers prefer not to lounge in the sun?
How many years as a naval architecture?
I don’t confuse impudence with eloquence.
World’s largest Norovirus incubator.
That would be land-based American restaurants. Norovirus exists in almost every one. Except, when people go home from a restaurant and then experience vomiting and diarrhea the next day, it is not reported on the news because the cases are now widely dispersed and virtually impossible to link.
On a cruise ship, Norovirus cases are concentrated so it is extremely easy to tabulate them. Not to mention that it is also a marketing disaster for the cruise lines.
All new cruise ships funnel diners through a hand washing/sterilization station before being allowed into the dining area. I would eat cruise ship buffet before eating out in a typical American restaurant any day of the week.
“So, when the doubters suggest that cruise ships are unstable or unsafe, the right answer may be they are a lot more seaworthy than they look.”

I’ll take your word for it.
Does that mean you didn’t read the linked article?
I’ll defer to your obviously vast knowledge on the subject.
Try Princess. I just cruised them to Alaska and found them to be like the old days of cruising. However, I think their ships are a little older, as is their clientele.

6680 guests... Going to need at least 300 doctors on board to treat the usual virus outbreak when it occurs...
Ever look at an aircraft carrier?
Probably fifteen or so years ago, my wife and I sailed on a relatively small Norwegian Cruise Line ship (about 1700 passengers) and had the time of our lives. Some people may have the greatest experience ever on the mega ships, but we were very satisfied on the little dinghy, lol.
Sshhh....
A cruise to Haiti, no wonder it sucked.
Yep, I stay away from large crowds acknowledging I am often giving something up for that.
“Would appreciate comments regarding other cruise lines as we are both now retired and are looking into other lines.”
We like Princess best, although we did not like Royal Princess. We like Island Princess (will sail in February through Panama Canal), and absolutely loved Sapphire.
We tried Celebrity once, on the Silhouette, and hated it.
I'll take you word for it. We shot our wad in the '80s and have no desire to rediscover.
“You are so wrong.”
Says one of the dumbest people on FR.
