If true, the entire authority automatically goes to DHS and FBI at airports (TSA). Local LEO stands by and awaits instructions.
It appears the sheriff shut-down the airport and did not cede authority to DHS/FBI.

I watched these FAA guys last night and never saw any delays.

Maybe some missed their flights, or arrivals were delayed trying to gather their baggage and leave the airport.
I’m sure the LEOs did their duty. Maybe.
Don’t remember any mention of it on national news either this morning, but I could have easily missed it. A lot about CA fires, sensible gun laws, bad orange man, and stuff.
