A friend (former admiral) told me that if an EMP ever goes off you’ll need a water and food supply for some time (undetermined) and guns formprotection from theft of your food. Money won’t matter if it’s a long stretch. And the real worry is whether there’s an attack after the EMP. The feds and electric companies all say they’ve got this covered. Don’t bet on it.
