“We’ve had VERY unusual police activity in the San Fernando Valley the last 2 days. I’ve lived here almost 20 years and I’ve never seen this kind of activity. Convoys of 10 to 20 cruisers on different freeways, sometimes with lights on, other times not. We just got done with almost an hour of non stop sirens. No news. The fire has died down so it doesn’t seem to be that.”
Mass arrests?
Raids?
Hmm.
I might ask folks who knew folks with personal drones if they had them flying during such convoy sightings.
I'd ask about the sightings--where, when, what direction, about how many, what flavor and map all that.
I'd ask any honest reporter types (if there are any there), what they'd turned up.
I'd ask hospital emergency personnel and other first responders what they'd seen, heard, etc.
Might even get some vets together and form an informal task force to manage all that in a more structured way.
I'd bother because that kind of going on is NOT likely to be minor peanuts. Might be important to have an early heads up.
I'd talk to VFW personnel and patrons.
I'd talk to the better-attended bar-tenders who tend to be 'in-the-know.'
I'd keep sources as confidential as possible and probably rate them 1-4 on quality/reliability with colored codes.
I'd talk to folks who have police scanners on 24/7 as a hobby.
I'd guess that if you started with 12-24 people you know personally and ask them to do the same, you'd quickly end up with 1,000 people earnestly and wisely seeking information. Gotta turn something up, most likely.
