Except for lettuce and green beans, I hate green stuff. I know that sprouts are nutritious, but I don’t really like them. We do grow a lot of our food now. I can, freeze, and dehydrate stuff for the winter, but some things I just like fresh.

I also buy 20-40 lbs of meat on sale and then pressure can it. Good to eat out of the jar, or make a casserole or soup. Cheaper and great for when the electricity goes out.

Agreed. Need to do some of that. Got a lot of jars to begin the project but keep putting it off. Got a new big pressure cooker canning size to do it in. Mother was always big on canning. Still have a lot of her canned green beans. Dad wanted to toss them. I said no way.
