I suspect lots of inbreeding. In this the Hebrews were revolutionary—with their anti-incest laws. The Egyptians, in contrast, were expected to marry their brother/sister (and had lots of defective children...).

Even today the least intelligent regional/racial populations have lots of 1st-cousin-marriage.

Upwards of 75% of Middle Eastern populations (except the Jews) marry 1st cousins....and are substantially less intelligent in IQ than other peoples.

.
Early humans were genetically perfect, thus inbreeding was a good thing for them. Had they not bred, we would not be here.

Later, sin took its toll, IQs dropped, defects appeared.

In nature, it’s common to have highly inbred populations. When that results in an offspring having a defective gene reinforced through both parents, it dies before passing on that gene, and thus over time bad genes are removed from the population.

Frequent inbreeding may have caused skeletal abnormalities in early humans.

Certainly created mental abnormalities in today’s democrats.

He assembled data on 66 individuals with skeletal abnormalities ...

That's an awfully small sample. It is rarely emphasized how few ancient human remains we have discovered.

This is not to say that the hypothesis is stupid or anything, just that the evidence needed to do real analysis isn't exactly there.

the leg bones are bowed because of ricketts, not from congenital abnormalities.
