TBH I’ve had people sneak into spots I’ve waited for and wanted to do the very same thing.
That’s why keys have a dual use.
I was sitting patiently waiting for a car to pull out when someone came around me and swooped the spot. I sat and watched her get out and then parked elsewhere. We were at the grocery store so I saw her inside. Walked up to her and said.....you need to go move your car since you snaked my spot. She just looked at me so I said....NOW! She turned around and walked really fast to her car and left. Lol
Yeah, I was pissed.
