Watched earlier. There is another FR thread. The general did not impress early on. Too much Pentagon talk, not enough warfighter. But loved his military-strength non-answers to stupid reporter questions. And he was rather clear that troops would be armed since they are, well, troops.

Not many miles of wire, too much talk of hardening. Probably glazed over a few eyes. But, end of day, sounds like the military is there to conduct business, not get coffee for folks.

It's been in style for a few years for some civilians to imagine and create pseudo-military terms and even to create some of their own. So yes, it can be confusing for some.

The former is part of accomplishing the latter. The mission is to secure the land border and *not* to assault Mexican beaches (re. Marines/Navy, little humor there). Here's where the specifics start, including Army combat engineers, obstacles, etc. (at 9:04).
