The article my post excerpted has the wacko himself - and not the media - claiming to be a “Native American.”
If he claims it he is right because he was born here, Most all of us are by that light native Americans. If the press claims it with both words capitalized then the reference is necessarily to Ojibway or Timucuan or the like.
