Apparently the Red Sox might be considered the underdogs in this series right now ... because they depleted their pitching staff in this game.
FWIW, the last time I made this observation was in 2004 during that epic Yankees-Red Sox ALCS ... when I pointed out that the Yankees had a serious problem despite their 3-0 lead. If I remember correctly, there was a rainout early in the series that eliminated an off day -- and as result, every pitching matchup was in Boston's favor for the remainder of the series.
