This is ginned up to impact the election.

Since the Demons have been exposed as a shamelessly cynical and ruthless group of thugs, it becomes clear to more people that this is a coordinated move between the Leftist groups including the Demons. This won’t work this time.

Timing - Just in time to arrive at the boarder before the elections and make a Media Circus.

You bet - HEADLINES TO COME: more babies dying in detention center because of mean “Wall Supporters” HATE.

If you lived there, you'd know that they are not capable. Simon Bolivar knew that as a fact-- they were not capable of government outside of a strict central government. We were complicit in thwarting President Maduro-- now we reap what was sown.

This isn't a fleeting issue with me. Half my family is hispanic and I've working in 4 embassies in Latin America. I know the issues cold.

That was uncalled for. If you cannot be civil, then don’t respond.

The American problem with street people is astounding. Yet the invaders somehow manage to break the laws and end up with free food, housing, medical and schooling.

I’ve never understood why Latin America loves socialism. I met a guy from Uruguay who used to be a socialist, but now loves America and Trump.

Socialism is preached into the souls of Latinos, by word and deed. It is no wonder that is how they turn out. The absence of Judeo-Christian thought is foundational.

Simon Bolivar knew he wasn't dealing with a people that had the constitution (not the document- the inward governance) of Americans.

But I will attest that if you train them correctly and expose socialism, they will convert. Our problem is: Conservatives have not invested in that type of outreach, to their peril.

“Our State Department has done nothing to help these countries institute rule of law and the execution of justice.”

Why should we be responsible for another
country’s law and order? Instead of
walking a thousand miles to get here,
they should concentrate that energy
to fixing their own problems.
A lion can be defeated with a rock
if enough of them are thrown. If
their home countries are so bad as to
being inhabitable, they should stand
and fight to change it, instead of
running away. These people are cowards.

We absolutely need the Army on the border. We need protection from being invaded. And this is an invasion.

There is a huge difference between "help" and "being responsible for." I never asserted we are responsible for another country'a government.

The US government, under Obama, was responsible for(1) interfering with the execution of justice by the Maduro government on the gangs, and (2) opposing the deposing of President Zelaya when he violated the Honduran Constitution.

If you do not think we mentor, train, and influence other governments to assist them in governing in a fashion that serves the best interest of the US, you are living in fantasy land. That is what the State Department does.

Lastly, if we choose not to influence, then evil shows up at our front door anyway.

They will be let in because they will set one foot across the order. Our government has no will to stop them and we allow them long expensive deportation process rather than pushing them back our dropping them 100 mile inside mexico. We should already have bill to prevent anchor babies and we should be using military funding to protect our country by building a wall, not just relaxing sections of the old fence.

Exactly. Mexico has stringent controls and penalties concerning illegal immigration. We should tell Mexico that if they do not stop these folks, we will consider it an act of war. We should tell them there be no trade with the US until they stop this nonsense.

Guess I won’t be trying to break into meth-eek-O anytime soon since I’m a gringo. So, I thought I saw somewhere that there was a wall on meth-eek-O’s southern border. Just open the gates and let them in? We don’t need any more “voters”. Besides which, if we suck so bad, why are the headed this way? ;-)

They are getting to be just as bad as the rest of the MSM.

This is big business in Mexico. They bribe the guards to get into Mexico, then pay to be escorted through Mexico, next they pay a coyote to smuggle them into the states. Once here the use ever scam they can to steal as much as possible to payoff their debt and have the rest of their family follow the same path in a few months.
IMHO

"...Our State Department has done nothing to help these countries institute rule of law and the execution of justice...."

You mean apart from spending billions of dollars on Honduran infrastructure improvements, and having kept a military presence there (primarily at Base aérea Soto Cano, which formerly was Ollie North's Palmerola) since 1983 to stop the spread of Nicaraguan communism at the border?

They had the opportunity but squandered it, which points to the truth of the old Paul Harvey axiom, "There is no self-government without self-discipline."

You are citing defense and ministry of interior projects. I am talking about bringing back the DIC, strengthening the courts and criminal justice system, encouraging a 2nd amendment-like change to the Honduran Constitution, bringing back the death penalty, and declaring gangs to be domestic terrorists.

Instead, we put sanctions on them when they followed their constitution (Zelaya). Nice try, but come correct. I went to school and worked in Honduras, and I have a family member that works directly for the Attorney General.
