I thought Texas was a conservative paradise?

It is, as long as you steer clear of any city with high rises and any area along the border with Mexico.

“I thought Texas was a conservative paradise?”

I have been retired for over a decade. Years prior to my retirement as a high school teacher. Channel One (CNN) for schools offered a free TV for every classroom if you signed up for their program. Our district agreed to the propaganda.
I am sure Channel One started sometime in the ‘90’s.

I see as much liberalism oozing out of Texas as I do out of New York.

And more than I do with Connecticut. Of course, CT is a smaller state.

Like was said, anywhere there is a Texas city, and along the southern border (With my own experiences from Galveston up to Texarkana) that makes up an area about the size of New York in it’s own right.

I have to warn everyone who reads my stuff: Don’t rest on your laurels thinking that your area is conservative. Don’t rest. Don’t take your eyes off the ball. Because things are rapidly changing and you only know what you see and hear, and what you hear and see is decided for you by only about 10 companies with proven allegiance to the left.
