I didn't read whatever was said, but this strikes me as Facebook looking to appear unbiased. The lying from the left is almost a foregone conclusion, and just assume anything that comes out of silicon valley has a premeditated attempted PR manipulation in it.
If they were unbiased, there wouldn't have been a story.
