If NY dirty water hot dogs didn’t kill me I can’t be killed by food.

Does that really qualify as food?

The buffets for the large numbers of people doing whatever you can imagine (inadvertently or otherwise) while serving themselves

Right, occasionally some nut will intentionally do something. I recall a story several years ago here in New York City about a homeless guy at a deli who was caught throwing urine into the trays.

And a few months ago at a Whole Foods supermarket here I saw a homeless woman in a wheelchair picking food out of the trays with her bare hands and eating it right there. Felt sorry for her, but still.

Here’s my list

Meat covered with sauces.

Fresh Seafood (if more than 100 miles from the sea). Frozen is okay.

Salads (I don’t trust the prep)
The Raw Bar (hepetites)

The chocolate fountain (aahhchooo...)

Mashed potatoes, whole baked only. No fries, tots, country, or hashed.

As for meat... if I can’t recognize it on the plate and I didn’t make it, I don’t order it.

Pasta sauces with meat in it.

Pizza’s are always vegetable and cheese.

Eggs will be flat and well done.

Waffles, but not pancakes. With fruit compote, jam, or honey. No syrup.

Whatever does not kill me makes me stronger. I am of the belief that germs strengthen your immune system.

Yep. That is why so many people are allergic to almost everything. Their parents kept them in the house and made them stay clean all day long.

When kids would be made to stay outside and play they would come home covered from head to toe in dirt. Moms would hose them down with the garden hose before letting them inside.

Getting dirty and being outside and with others from very early ages helps build up a person's immune system.

When I was a kid, and early in my marriage, to varying degrees I was compelled to eat meatloaf. As a grown man I am now in an enviable position of being able to avoid eating meatloaf without consequence.

What kind of imbecile would pay money to eat meatloaf!

My homemade all beef meatloaf happens to be delicious. And so is Cracker Barrel’s. Even Stouffers frozen meatloaf is pretty good. Other than that (and the school lunch lady meatloaf in the 60’s), I’d have to be suspicious. And none of that beef/pork/veal/turkey/lamb mixture nonsense, either, for crying out loud. If I want mystery meat, I’ll buy a gyro kit.

In college microbiology class we did an experiment taking several restaurant foods blending them down then smearing a small sample onto a petre dish. Pizza hut had the least amount of bacteria grow on the culture. Taco Bell had the most. Since the whole pizza is baked most bacteria is killed if it is served right away. Taco Bell everything is laying out in the open exposed to anything.

Order the meatloaf at the Bellagio made with beef, veal and pork. You may change your mind.

Essentially, it’s really no different.

Soke differences... more personal privacy, more easily replaced, service on Thursdays.

That right there is the reason I almost never dine “out”. “Jesse Sauce” is too available to malcontent food ‘service’ workers. No thank you...........
