A bit long and occasionally overstated, but I found it interesting.

Perhaps music has descended to one of the lowest and least talented styles ever: cRap music.

"The TRUTH Why Modern Music Is Awful"

Didn't watch the video, but off the top of my head I'd say 'cause Hendrix is dead?

I’ve watched this video (and downloaded it), it’s pretty interesting and he does a good job at dissecting why most music sux these days. And he’s not doing it from a “Get off my lawn” angle, it’s logic-based.

Junk, violence, perversion, and chaos in = (normalization of) junk, violence, perversion, and chaos out.

Not complaining, it's very good. There were a lot of comments on that thread though.

Switched to Brasilian and Most Latin 25 years ago. Could not get away from cRap music. It’s been like listening to 250 bands as talented as the Beatles crank out hits all this years. Brilliant music.

Lot of good stuff in folk, real country, bluegrass genres.

Not what your going to hear on the average radio station.

There’s more good music available now than there has ever been. You won’t hear any of it on the radio, though. You have to search for it.

That reminds me of that scene in “American Graffiti” in which John Milner (Paul LeMat) says “I don’t like that surfin’ sh#t. Rock and roll’s been going down hill ever since Buddy Holly died.”

"...John Milner (Paul LeMat) says “I don’t like that surfin’ sh#t…"

Like that line from "Are you Experienced?" - "You'll never hear surf music again..."

As I’m reading this, I’m listening to my 80s music list on youtube. Do it all the time.

“Something About You” by Level 42 playing now. So danceable, I often pick up my cat and dance around the living room. Love Joe Jackson too and The Thompson Twins and Spandau Ballet....I think that was the end of really sweet. good-mood, danceable music. So happy youtube has so much of it.
