I too love cats. The are FAR more subtle than dogs, which is one way of looking at intelligence. The fact that dogs seem so overtly eager to accept training, and that they appear obsequious, is not necessarily expressive of intellect. Some would say it is more of a slavish or peasant-like mentality.
