My neighbor has TWO Border Collies. They look almost exactly alike, both females.
One is fairly friendly and approachable. The other is DANGEROUS and will bite you.
The only way to tell them apart is the dangerous one has one ear that slightly flops over at the tip...............

Dumbest dog I ever owned was a Basset hound. Smartest dog I ever owned is the one I have now: cross-breed between a dachshund and a rat terrier (he got more of the physical traits of a rat-terrier).

I have a border collie, 2 GSD and 2 mutts. The BC is by far the smartest of the bunch.
