Strictly Come Dancing sent fans into meltdown on Sunday's results show opener as it featured a predominately same-sex couple dance routine for the first time in the show's history. The powerful routine saw the professional dancers dressed in matching black suits with a red stripe on the leg as they performed to Imagine Dragons. During the routine, it saw Gorka Márquez and AJ Pritchard on top of a large podium as they danced together.

Ahh, different song same title - Come Dancing was written by jazz drummer Michael Narada Walden in 1976.
Ray Davie's song was about his sister going out on dates back in the day, I think.
I am so far behind on the nomenclature. I was about to post the same thing. I guess this is a fluid kind of thing, since we no long seem to look between the legs to identify sex or gender.
2 years ago one of the contestants, Reverend Richard Coles, who is also a gay activist, tried unsuccessfully to dance with a male partner but it was disallowed. That set the stage and activists kept up the pressure. Yesterday’s dance is to desensitize the audience and I won’t be surprised if they have a same sex dance couple next season. Once they get away with it expect to see it on Dancing with the Stars.
Come Dancing was a ballroom dancing show that ran on the BBC from 1950 to 1998. Strictly Come Dancing was a continuation of that show using celebrities.
So what’s the big deal. They’ve been doing this stuff at the Blue Oyster Bar for the last twenty five years or longer. Clearly the author has never been to San Fran Sicko.
The audiences for reality shows are more than desensitized. They cheer gays, trannies and drag queens on UK reality shows (which are often available on You Tube).
Simon Cowell, on the X Factor UK, made a guy that showed up as himself come back and audition as the drag queen he performs as. The judges and crowd were thrilled.
