You may find the following tip helpful in sharing YOUTUBE links.
To get a URL for a video that points to the specific part of the video you want to share, stop the video a the point of interest, and try right-clicking in the middle of the stopped video image. You should see (and choose) an option (Windows) to “Copy video URL at current time.” When the link is used later by readers, the video begins to play at the saved point.

PS: I haven’t seen this technique work on other video sharing sites.
