A little comic relief after a very tense week. God bless Judge Kavanaugh for socking it to the Dem HATE-ocrites

I have been thinking of that same song for a few days. Every one of the Dem senators carry baggage while preaching such sanctimonious morality

They should be called on it!

Became a short-lived TV show starring Barbara Eden as America's hottest fortysomething.

Tom T. Hall, who wrote "Harper Valley "PTA" also wrote this tune that was issued as the Vietnam War was heating up--and perhaps in response to Barry McGuire's "Eve of Destruction".

Great movie

It was about how the town elites did not live up to the standards they expected everyone else to live up to.

Sounds familiar

Her daughter didn’t even stop to play. The day my momma socked it to. First person or 3rd person? Good song anyway.

Ben Colder redcorded spoof versions of a number of hits in the sixties including Still # 2, Detroit City #2 and Ring of Fire Smoke, which spoofed big hits by Bill Anderson, Bobby Bare and Johnny Cash, respectively, in 1963. Under his real name, Sheb Wooley, he had a couple of smash hits in 1958, The Purple People Eater and Santa Claus Meets the Purple People Eater.

The daughter was relaying a story from her past about what her mom did. That’s the cause for what seems like an error.

Decent series.

I’ve been watching reruns of Alice on Antenna TV lately. Still better than what is on now.

Thanks fun memories. Reminds me of my mama. In high school I was questioned by the principal about my skirt beening too short. My mama marched right up to him and told him when you start paying for her clothes then you can question what she wears. Mama was everyones hero. RIP
