I think Graham had been released before the funeral. He had already made some heartening statements. I think what happened was it was a big SURPRISE to EVERYBODY when Huma came across the room, and especially when she slipped him something. Maybe they were trying to plant something on him to destroy his newfound favor with the WH. He went right to Kelly and fessed up though.
