They can’t have an FBI investigation. Kavanaugh was thoroughly investigated more than once alreayd with numerous interviews with everyone who knew him including who knows how many high schools classmates.
The only reason the FBI was brought in for Thomas vs Anita is/was that the allegations occurred in a Federal facility and both were Federal employees with FBI having jurisdiction. In Kavanaugh's case there was no Federal Coke can or Federal pubic hair.
