FORMER anythings should have their security clearances deactivated the moment they leave govt or defense- critical employ. Period. End of file.
I agree wholeheartedly. (I was shocked when I first learned that their security clearances were not turned off when they left office. They certainly shut down all security access for low-level employees when they leave a government position, and that should apply to everybody, at all levels. Leaving their security clearance in place when they leave office makes absolutely no sense, other than maybe to help wealthy individuals in various sneaky ways who should not be helped like that.)
