I’m confused. So what they are saying is players have the right to protest the USA on company time, but no-one has the right to protest against the players even on their own time?

Yes, seems to be the case. These employers are letting employees run things and are upset that customers have an opinion, are acting on them by boycotting, costing them millions of dollars or more. I think it is now time to remove anti-trust and other protections from the NFL. They don't deserve them and should never have gotten them in the first place.

The radio personalities on my local NFL station here in JAX couldn’t kiss enough player butt during kneelgate last year. Then in training camp this year the star player for the Jags trashed the media for reporting a player fight and ended up getting suspended for it. I found the whole episode quite amusing.
