MSNBC briefly gave up on Florence coverage to cover this at DC courthouse. Said he is agreeing to one charge of “conspiracy to defraud the US” and an obstruction / witness tampering charge. The first was attributed to the Mule *not* wanting to have to put the conspirator Rick Gates back on the stand and still no explanation for alleged witness tampering. The MSNBC crew tempered their hopes that Manafort would now cooperate amidst their acknowledgment this agreement works for both sides because the Mule does not want to have to try the case again. I figured if it wasn’t getting major headlines, there were no big surprises leaked to the MSN team.

They forced that witness tampering charge on him to prove they weren’t being jack boots by trying to get him into solitary instead of being allowed to remain out on bail. Disgusting.
