Ivar’s is still there? Yum. When we lived in Anchorage, we’d shop in Seattle every few months and Ivar’s was our first stop. That was in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. Soooo good — the clam strips.

Maybe add the first and original ‘Dick’s Drive In’ to your iconic Seattle list? The first one opened, (1954 or 1955 iirc, somewhere in there), on North East 45th Street, about a 1/2 mile west of the UW campus. A classic old school ‘American Graffiti’ type hang out and great burgers!

Florence. The short form of that is Flo. Flo is the spokesperson for Progressive Insurance. Therefore, progressives are complicit in the hurricane.
