At least in June, July, and Aug of 1951, at P.I., there was never any possibility of this argument...With all those WWII vets as D.I.'s, "going straight to hell" was considered an invitation to a luxurious vacation...

Yeah, I imagine that was pretty bad. I'm also pretty sure there were plenty of WWII vet DI's
at San Diego as well dishing out the same type of Hell. That being said, since I am a Former
PI Marine, I will always say that it was tougher there. ;~)
